TV Presenter & Cosmopolitan’s Sexiest Man of 2014, Jonathan Boynton-Lee has won Season Seven of SABC3’s hit reality dance show Strictly Come Dancing SA in a glittering live finale on Friday night.
The Top Billing hunk, who started the series on a shaky start, has proven that hard work and determination can make you a champion after he came from behind to hold up the coveted mirror-ball trophy against stiff competition from fellow finalists Leandie Du Randt and LeAnne Dlamini.
“Mom and Dad I love you, this is for you,’ said the presenter, choking back his tears as he acknowledged his adopted parents. “This trophy belongs to [dancing partner] Hayley. It is all hers.”
Earlier this week Jonathan shared more about his Strictly Come Dancing journey by saying; “It’s a completely overwhelming feeling and it still doesn’t feel real, specially when you look back at the remarkable talent we’ve had this season. We started at the bottom with judges scores so we never imagined we’d get this far, and be the only couple who hasn’t had to dance off. This is all thanks to my incredible partner Hayley, and the amazing support we’ve had throughout. Thank you so much to everyone who has voted and kept us dancing. It’s been a life-changing journey in every single way.”
“We are extremely proud of having another client win the Strictly Come Dancing title. Jonathan has fought against all odds when he pushed through to the finale and we are amazed at his determination and strong will” says Lorinda Voges, Jonathan’s Publicist and Manager at 4Elementsmedia.
Both viewers and the media have been united in touting the Rapid Blue produced Strictly Come Dancing Season Seven as the sexiest series to date.
The special two hour finale of Strictly, which was broadcast from SABC studios in Auckland Park, saw previous contestants actress Boity Thulo, comedians Donovan Goliath and Siv Ngesi, Queen of Bling Khanyi.
