There’s nothing we love more than our first official get together for the new year, and when it involves some imported couture the whole experience becomes so much better! On Wednesday, February 4th 2015, the official launch of DAY BIRGER ET MIKKELSEN was held at Hyde Park corner shopping centre with a full on attendance of A-Listers!
DAY BIRGER ET MIKKELSEN, a Danish brand for women founded by Keld Mikkelsen, is a luxurious mix of modern classics, embellished details, exquisite craftsmanship and inventive elements. A selection of essentials and eveningwear – with a contemporary take on everyday couture. The DAY brand is defined by modern, classic and ethnic designs, expressed in a sexy, stylish way. As Keld describes it, “DAY BIRGER ET MIKKELSEN is a fusion between near and far. Local and global. The sophistication of a jet setter mixed with the free spirit of a modern gypsy.”
The DAY range was modelled in a spectacular manor with models descending down the mall escalators in their DAY BIRGER ET MIKKELSEN collections and pieces. Once entering the Day Birger store, we found out that they host a spectacular range of travel inspired home ware and decor for the chic look in a sophisticated home!
Spotted at the event was Radio host and Television personality, Jen Su, Singers: Tamara Dey, ChianoSky, and Cara Frew. Television personalities like Masego Maps Maponyane, Shashi Naidoo and of course our lovely fashion duo Alan Foley and Krishen Samuel!
All catering and decor was done by the one and only wonder-woman, otherwise known as Vicky Crease, who always brings something fresh with elegance to the tables of any important social event. (We love her!)
