Surrounded by some of the best tourist attractions and in door amenities, we’re excited to see how Lorinda spent her time there!
When I received an invitation to come and experience the all-new Four Seasons The Westcliff Johannesburg, nothing could prepare me for what I was about to experience.
The five-star hotel in the trendy Westcliff area of Johannesburg proved that you don’t have to go too far to experience luxury at its best. On any given day it’s not unusual to spot business minded people meeting over breakfast at the Flames Restaurant or tourists wandering around the beautiful property.
It was my first time staying at any Four Seasons hotel, but from what I heard and from staying at previous top class hotel establishments recently in Dubai, it’s exactly what you’d expect from a Four Seasons hotel with some cool added touches that sets it apart from other hotels in SA.
I was booked in a beautiful 1-bedroom room suite. Upon entering the room, I was welcomed by a bunch of gorgeous red roses & a personal note from the management team welcoming me. I loved that.
The room was spacious with a balcony overlooking a beautiful setting of Jozi & it’s landscapes. Did you know there are over 6 million trees in Johannesburg, which makes Jozi the biggest man-made forest in the world, and you are able to see this beautiful splendor from this hotel property?
What makes the Four Seasons The Westcliff stand out to me was the impeccable service from everyone working on the property, from the warm welcome I received at reception, to every single staff member sharing their opinion with me as to why they love working for this group & the immense passion they share about their love for the City of Johannesburg, mostly by the international staff members!
They are so tentative to their guests they even have people go around offering suntan lotion to you when you sit & have 6 hour long meetings in the sun, that’s super impressive! This is true luxury and something many other major luxury brands simply don’t do.
If you are a foodie, I can highly recommend you visit Flames – one of the five exciting restaurants at the hotel. They are pretty much famous for their fabulous brunches on a weekend or sundowners and dinner. The restaurant has an outdoor braai area, where meat and fish are cooked to perfection, forms the restaurant’s heart.
I am leaving the new Four Seasons Spa for last because I had one of the best massages of my life. It was an hour-long deep tissue massage in a couple’s suite with my friend LeAnne Dlamini. The attention to detail and the fact the therapists were well trained made this massage an unbelievably relaxing experience.
The Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff is lovely in every way, and I will continue to recommend people to stay there with the first-hand knowledge of just how fantastic this property really is & how well they’ll be looked after.
The Four Seasons The Westcliff Hotel has a number of 117 rooms. It is surrounded by eight acres (three hectares) of landscaped gardens and courtyards cascading down a hillside with panoramic views. Their spa has 9 treatment rooms and includes 1 couples suite, The spa also boast a men’s and women’s change rooms, saunas and steam rooms, as well as Après-Spa, the city’s only outdoor spa lounge!
