If you take pictures with an iPhone, you’re an iPhoneographer, and iStore’s iPhoneography is a competition that not only puts the power of the iPhone into the main frame, but also you, the person behind the lens.
Now in its fifth year, iPhoneography encourages every iPhone user (professional or not) to get clicking, and submit their picture-perfect images into a nationwide competition. The competition culminates in two sensational exhibition events, where winners are announced, prizes like iPads and MacBooks are awarded, and the mastery of the phone and photographer are celebrated.
How does it work?
There are five categories in iStore iPhoneography: Portrait, Still Life, Abstract, Scenery and Show Us Your City. Entrants can submit up to five images in total across all the categories, which will then be judged. If your entry is chosen, your picture will be on exhibition at one of the events, in the entry city of your choice (Johannesburg and Cape Town).
There will be a winner in each category in Johannesburg and Cape Town, and an overall iPhoneography winner. Along the way, we’ll share photography tips, events and workshops to inspire and teach, so that you can have even more fun with your iPhone.
