Cape Town turned out in force to see one of London’s greatest exports, Mumford & Sons, as they took to stage to perform to a sold out venue for their first ever concert in South Africa.
Putting on an energetic show, the band had the crowd on their feet throughout the entire performance.
Towards the end of the show, the band showcased a few more intimate songs performing with a single mic, a guitar and the sound of the crowd singing along to every word.
The highlight of the show was when Marcus Mumford leapt over the barricade separating the crowd from the stage and performed while walking through the excited masses.
If you’re attending any of their shows in South Africa, be prepared to dance, laugh and sing along to some of your favorite songs from all 3 Mumford & Sons albums as well as the brand new single that the band recorded with Baaba Maal entitled “There Will Be Time”. According to Marcus Mumford, the song is available for sale on the South African iTunes store and is exclusive for South Africa.
To prepare yourself for the awesomeness that is Mumford & Sons live, take a look at some our favourite photos which we took at the concert which took place on 29 January 2016 at the Grand Parade in Cape Town (all photos taken using an LG G4).
