Samsung has launched the Galaxy A51, one of the two new A-Series smartphones which was announced at a media event last week in Sandton, Johannesburg. The all-new mid-range phone boasts so many high-end features and we’re going to give you the entire shiny scoop on this device.
It’s pretty crazy to see where phones are heading these days and just how far they’re being pushed by manufacturers. But the prime example of innovation at cost comes in the new Samsung Galaxy A51. The main camera photographs stunning images with a 48-megapixel camera on the Galaxy A51. Taking crisp and vivid shots, this camera will let you snap the best photo possible – day or night. The Ultra Wide camera has a 123o degree angle lens, giving you the same view as the human eye and if the shot requires it, the intelligent switch function will recommend Wide Shot and automatically switch it on for you. The Macro camera brings objects into crystal clear focus to capture every last detail while the Depth camera lets your subjects stand out using Live Focus effects. Plus, there’s a 32mpx selfie camera, so there’s no excuse not to capture the perfect moment anymore.
The back is plastic, which almost used to be a worry, but we can’t help but love this glossy finish with colours bouncing left, right and centre. The phone comes with 4GB of RAM, 4000mah battery and that includes fast charging which will charge it right up in less than 2 hours!
“We’re excited to build on the successful Galaxy A portfolio with the new Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51. Since its launch last year, the Galaxy A series has become one of the most beloved smartphone ranges. The new Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51 continue to offer the essential innovations that people love,” said Justin Hume, Director: Integrated Mobility at Samsung South Africa. “We know that people want a device that looks good, lasts longer and captures every experience as it happens, and we’re proud to continue to deliver on those needs with the latest Galaxy A devices.”
The 6.5 inch 1080p display survives sunlight really well and is crisp and bright for any media you’d like to consume, its tiny (yet powerful) selfie camera has its own spot, but also is extremely minimized to not interfere with your experience of the phone. The size of the camera doesn’t affect your face recognition feature either, but if you’d like some extra protection there’s a finger print reader built right into the phone itself.
