LG Mobile has spent much time in the rumour mill lately, largely due to leaked images of what appears to be their latest Nexus smartphone, the unconfirmed 5X.

While no specs have been confirmed, you will notice that the 5X has a protruding camera bump, similar to Windows mobile devices, as well as what appears to be a circular fingerprint scanner where LG traditionally places the power button on their own devices.
While neither LG Mobile nor Google have officially confirmed the existence of the new LG made Nexus, sources close to the matter have confirmed that not only have they created a new Nexus smartphone, but that LG has in fact created at least 3 new smartphones to be released later this year.
Besides the Nexus 5X, LG is also working on a new phablet which is being dubbed either the G4 Note or the G4 Pro. Rumours indicate that this new device will feature 4GB RAM and a camera superior to the already impressive camera found in the G4.
LG is also rumoured to be working on yet another smartphone, however this is not a Google branded device nor is it a phablet.
Locally, LG is aiming for a November release of the 3 devices, only 1 of which is the Nexus, however this is dependant on cellular network orders.
Will we see the new Nexus and LG smartphones soon? Would you buy a Nexus if it were made available in South Africa? Hopefully these questions will be answered at Google’s event in San Francisco on 29 September.
