Dinner for two this Valentine’s Day

Rumour has it, Cupid will be at The Maslow, Sandton on February 14

Spoil your loved one this Valentine’s Day with a romantic dinner, with or without a night’s stay, in luxurious style at Sandton’s four-star garden oasis hotel, The Maslow.

Picture yourself and your Valentine at a white linen tablecloth, bathed in candlelight, sipping drinks and chatting while indulging in a delicious meal to the sounds of live entertainment. Executive Chef, Omar Menhouk, and his team will create magic in the kitchen to ensure you have the perfect evening.

The menu, at a cost of R990 per couple, includes a welcome drink by Martini, an amuse bouche of prawn tempura or spanakopita, a Springbok carpaccio, butternut pea risotto or salmon poke bowl starter and for mains, line fish with Chinese seven spice or a 28-day prime aged beef fillet, Butter milk chicken supreme or vegetable lasagna.

“And when it comes to love and romance, this opulence always extends to dessert, so we took special care to make the sweet treats in the final course extra special,” Menhouk said. Think a red velvet ‘Valentine kiss’ cake served with Ferrero Rocher, nuts and ice cream, or a chocolate tart with Turkish delight, or fresh strawberries, whipped cream, ice-cream, nougat and shortbread.
