In search of comfort food: We try the Moyo Winter Menu!

CaptureOne thing we never get tired of is an amazing selection of cuisine, especially when it comes to the colder months here in South Africa! During these times we definitely need something to help us push through the ice cold winter days, so today we’re discussing Moyo’s fabulous winter menu and all the things you need to know to get some mouthwatering food!

The fantastic Winter Menu, which costs R185 per guest for a two-course meal and R225 per guest for a three-course meal, is tailored to a wide range of palates. Adventurous or safe, meat-lover or vegetarian, comfort-eater or fine-dining foodie, the new Winter Menu will deliver a delectable experience for every kind of dinner.

What we like the most is that Moyo made sure to cater to everybody’s specific needs. Whether you love your meat or if you’re a vegetarian – it’s really important that they offer their customers something special and personally, a restaurant with a special menu for vegetarians makes the world of difference, especially when having a night out with people who all have different eating habits!

The selection of starters are made up of the vegetarian Chef Ru’s red pepper soup; Bleddie warm chicken samoosas; fresh Mussels in curried coconut broth and North African-inspired Chermoula meat balls. For mains, guests can choose between Curried butternut lasagne (v), Line fish jollof, Morrocan chicken, Nyama na kumba – beef sirloin skewered with prawns – and Sticky glazed short ribs. Those with a sweet tooth will be spoiled by a choice between Mama’s sago crumble, which brings together two firm favourites, and the aptly named Decadent chocolate brownies.

Make sure you head over to the Moyo Website now to find out where your nearest branch is. And, don’t be afraid to make a little booking and head out to go and try one of these winter-warming meals, trust us you won’t regret it at all!
