We’re not the best when it comes to mathematics but when Starbucks + Nestlé come together in collaboration we know it’ll equal something amazing! And that it was – On Wednesday August 28th at the stylish Ferguson on 5th in Illovo, celebs and influencers alike along with Johannesburgs most prestigious media guests joined the coffee brand to celebrate the launch of the “Starbucks at Home” range.
You heard right, coffee connoisseurs will now be able to enjoy their favourite Starbucks signature flavours at home. Getting specific, Nestlé and Starbucks are bringing in around 17 new products that fit the Dolce Gusto and Nespresso Machines along with others that can be used with at home plungers etc… All products are made from high-quality 100% Arabica coffee, ethically sourced from farmers in the world’s premier coffee growing regions.

The global coffee alliance, will help over time, transform, expand and elevate, both in-home and out of home coffee market bringing innovation and better offerings to a larger number of consumers” stated Bruno Olierhoek, CEO of NESTLÉ South Africa.
Tamara Dey showed off her talented voice whilst she serenaded the crowd before official introductions began, styled by Gavin Rajah and her fab hair done by Glampalm SA. Later in the day we spotted some of South Africa’s hottest celebs doing their thing. Spotted: DJ & Presenter, Lerato Kganyago, Columnist and ever fashionable Craig Jacobs, The Bachelor Star, Gina Myers – to only name a few. Nestlé and Starbucks had also chosen some key influencers to show off the range online: Nkateko Dinwiddy, Tasarnia Dhuloo, Nabeelah Essack, Former Miss SA – Claudia Henkel, Thabiso Makhubela & Blogger, Kanye Dre. Guests were treated to a shopping experience which let them sample and then pick from the newNESTLÉ and Starbucks products, these were wrapped up in stylish boxes and customised with each guests name, if it sounds fabulous – it’s because it was!
The Starbucks range of coffee co-developed between NESTLÉ and Starbucks will be available from September 2019 in all four main coffee retailers: Checkers, Pick ‘n Pay, Spar and Makro. The range will be available in selected premium grocery stores and consumers will also be able to find them in major online platforms, like Pick ‘n Pay Online and Takealot.
