TCL rolled into IFA 2026 in Berlin with a sprawling vision it’s calling the AI Inspired Life, built around a showcase space named the Inspiration Habitat. Rather than parading a pile of individual smart gadgets, the pitch this year is about AI that works across your whole home at once, tying together everything from the TV on the wall to the aircon, the washing machine and even a family robot. TCL, already the world’s number-one Mini LED and ultra-large TV brand, used the moment to remind everyone why it holds that crown.

The screens steal the show

At the heart of it all sits the TCL X11L SQD-Mini LED TV, and its spec sheet is frankly ridiculous in the best possible way. It combines a Super Mini LED backlight, a Super QLED layer and TCL’s WHVA 2.0 Ultra Panel to push up to 20,736 local dimming zones, a searing 10,000 nits of peak HDR brightness and up to 100% of the BT.2020 colour gamut, all tuned with audio by Bang & Olufsen. For gamers, the X3A OLED+ monitor brings high contrast and dual-mode ultra-high refresh rates, while the flagship Q95K soundbar rounds out the home cinema with an 11.1.4-channel setup, also voiced by Bang & Olufsen.

TCL also pulled in a panel of experts, including Hollywood colourist Natasha Leonnet and Google TV product lead Fahad Durrani, to chew over how ever-bigger screens are exposing weaknesses in picture quality, and how AI is turning the TV from a passive box into a personalised entertainment hub.

The quiet intelligence around the home

Away from the displays, TCL leaned into the behind-the-scenes side of AI. The FreshIN 3.0 Ultra air conditioner uses a big-data T-AI model to fine-tune its compressor for up to 37% extra energy savings on top of its inverter efficiency, with offline voice control and real-time air-quality monitoring. The AI SuperDrum Laundry Tower P9 Ultra uses what TCL calls Generative AI Wash to read a load’s size, fabric type and dirt level, then automatically dials in water, temperature, detergent and cycle time, finishing with an efficient low-temperature heat-pump dry. A Free Built-in Refrigerator with a flush-fit design and humidity control rounds out the kitchen kit.

A home that adapts, and a robot to boot

The bigger idea shows up in the upgraded NXTHOME concept, where TCL teams up with names like Bang & Olufsen, Roche Bobois and trend forecaster WGSN to imagine homes that feel responsive without feeling ruled by technology. Then there is the AiMe Family Companion Robot, a multimodal helper with lifelike movement designed to encourage kids’ curiosity and good habits while lightening the load for parents. TCL also tied the showcase to sport, using its role as a FIBA Global Partner to bring the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup, running in Berlin during IFA, into the space with fan experiences.
